Der Trompeter und Komponist Henry Spencer ist ein Absolvent der Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Er gilt als aufstrebender Stern in der britischen Jazz-Szene. Völlig zu Recht, wie sein Debütalbum "The Reasons Don’t Change" eindrucksvoll belegt. Für dieses formierte er mit befreundeten Kollegen das Quintett Juncture, bestehend aus seiner Wenigkeit (Trompete, Flügelhorn), Nick Costley-White (Gitarre), Matt Robinson (Piano, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer), Andrew Robb (Kontrabass) und David Ingamells (Schlagzeug).
Mit teilweiser Unterstützung des Guastalla Streichquartetts spielten die fünf Musiker elf dynamisch-energetische Originalkompositionen ein, die in Großbritannien bereits mit großem Lob bedacht wurden. "A truly gorgeous record and maybe even an early contender for album of the year", befand "All About Jazz". Und "The Jazz Mann" urteilte: "A début album that impresses with its ambition, scope and emotional and compositional maturity."
