CRANK originally broke their ground through well-known Sydney bands TOE TO TOE, S. U.X. and CASUALTY. Tey are influenced by the sounds of melodic bands such as SNUFF, NOFX, GREEN DAY and the HARD-ONS. CRANKs second CD titled "Occam's Razor" was released by Oracle Records in April 2001. A few months prior to this release, Farmclub. com began searching for a suitable Australian band that they could showcase in their weekly TV show. CRANK was the band they contacted and a producer of the show was flown to Sydney to interview the band members and film a short documentary on the band. This documentary was aired on national television in the USA on the USA Network Channel twice to over 3 million viewers.
