»Agent Provocateur « ist das fünfte Studioalbum von Foreigner, das ursprünglich im Dezember 1984 erschien. Das Album schoss in den britischen Albumcharts auf Nummer Eins und reklamierte in den USA Platz Fünf für sich.

Mit dabei ist die absolute Hitsingle »I Want To Know What Love Is«, die sich in Großbritannien und in den USA drei bzw. zwei Wochen lang an der Spitze der Charts hielt. Die Nachfolge-Single »That Was Yesterday« entpuppte sich ebenfalls als respektabler Hit. Das Album erreichte in Großbritannien Platin und in den USA gleich Dreifach-Platin.

Erstaunlich nah am Sound des Originals von 1984

Im direkten Vergleich im Grundtonbereich ein klein wenig substanzieller und im Mittel- und Hochtonbereich einen Tick sauberer als die LP von 1984. Fertigung und Pressung sind ohne erkennbare Mängel. Die Platte liegt plan auf dem Teller. Der Sound ist angenehm und passt zur Musikrichtung.
