Es war einmal ein großer grüner Oger namens Shrek, der am allerliebsten allein in seinen Sümpfen lebte. Doch dann vertreibt der fiese Lord Farquaad alle Fabelwesen von seinen Ländereien und auf einmal ist Shreks einsamer Sumpf ziemlich überfüllt.
