Sage und schreibe 25 Jahre ist es her, dass die Eagles ihr legendäres »Hell Freezes Over« veröffentlichten. 2019 gibt es den Klassiker erneut, und zwar als 25th-Anninversary-Editionen auf CD und 180 g schwerem Doppel-Vinyl.
»Hell Freezes Over« ist das zweite Livealbum der amerikanischen Rocklegenden. Es erschien ursprünglich 1994 und war das erste Album nach ihrer 14-jährigen Pause.
Neben elf Liveaufnahmen aus ihren Reunion-Sessions in den Warner Burbank Studios in Burbank, Kalifornien, die für ein MTV-Spezial aufgezeichnet wurden, enthält »Hell Freezes Over« die vier Studiotracks »Get Over It«, »Love Will Keep Us Alive«, »The Girl From Yesterday« und »Learn To Be Still«. Das Album erhielt neun Mal Platin und erreichte in den USA Platz eins der Charts.
Für die Neuauflage auf Vinyl wurden die Songs von Bob Ludwig komplett neu gemastert.
