Beginnend mit der College Clock, die den Sonnenaufgang begrüßt, zeigt diese besondere Aufnahme den Magdalen College Choir in strahlender Form, erstrahlt in der herrlichen Akustik der Church of St. John the Evangelist in Oxford.
Der Choir des Magdalen College in Oxford wurde 1480 gegründet. In den Statuten war für ihn 16 singende Knaben, acht akademische Angestellte und vier Kapläne vorgesehen. Das Magdalen College war damals eine der ältesten und größten Chorstiftungen im spätmittelalterlichen England, und dieses historische Erbe wurde über fünf Jahrhunderte bewahrt und gepflegt.
Der Chor, der heute international als eines der besten Ensembles Großbritanniens gilt, existiert in erster Linie, um die täglichen Gottesdienste in der Kapelle des Magdalen College zu singen.
