Biografie
Theodor Seuss Geisel, alias Dr. Seuss, geboren 1904, Studium in Oxford und Paris. Seit 1937 zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen (auf deutsch liegen vier seiner Bücher vor). Er schrieb und illustrierte nahezu 50 Bücher voller schrulliger Verse für Kinder, mit denen Millionen Amerikaner bis heute lesen lernen. Seine Werke sind für ihre lustigen Reime und skurrilen Charaktere weltberühmt. 1984 Auszeichnung mit dem Pulitzerpreis. Der Autor verstarb 1991.
