Biografie
Nahoko Uehashi, geboren 1962 in Tokio, gilt als eine der großen Stimmen der fantastischen Literatur in Asien. Nach dem Studium der Kulturanthropologie promovierte sie über die indigenen Australier und ist heute als außerordentliche Professorin an der Kawamura Gakuen Women's University tätig. Nahoko Uehashis Werk wurde mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet, u. a. mit dem "Sankei Children's Book Award" (1997), dem "Iwaya Sazanami Literary Award (2002) sowie dem "Noma Children's Book Award" (2004) und 2014 mit dem "Hans Christian Andersen Award". Nahoko Uehashi lebt bei Tokio.
