’Against the Modern World’ ist die allererste Veröffentlichung Sol Invictus‘ von 1987. Ursprünglich als Mini-LP und dann als Teil der CD ’Sol Veritas Lux’ veröffentlicht, erfährt das erste Lebenszeichen der Band nachdem es mehr als 10 Jahre nicht erhältlich war seine verdiente Widerveröffentlichung.
Abgesehen von dem neuen Artwork und Linernotes von Tony Wakeford machen besonders die sehr frühen Demoaufnahmen, die als Bonustracks enthalten sind und noch nie veröffentlicht wurden, diese Wiederveröffentlichung zu einer lohnenswerten Anschaffung - selbst für Fans, die das Original noch besitzen.
