»Sumerian Cry« ist das Debütalbum der schwedischen Gothic-Metal-Veteranen TIAMAT, das ursprünglich 1990 erschien.
Das Album wurde 1989 im Sunlight Studio in Stockholm, Schweden, aufgenommen, als die Band noch unter dem Namen Treblinka bekannt war. Der Track »Sumerian Cry, Pt. 1« ist eine Neuinterpretation der Intro-Melodie von »Crawling in Vomit«, dem ersten Track von Treblinkas erstem Demo. Seit Mitte der 90er Jahre engagieren Tiamat für alle ihre Konzerte einen Live-Keyboarder, den sie von bekannten Metal-Bands wie Opeth, Dark Tranquillity, Cradle of Filth und Evergrey angeheuert haben.
