»III« setzt genau dort an, wo »II« aufhört.
From the vast and empty Rock and Roll wilderness comes a beast. Sightings are few and scattered but all reports contain the same basic facts. Three great lumbering giants, one guitar, one bass, two sticks and a monstrous noise. They devastate any stage set before them with bone crushing rhythms and ferocious riffs. They return every few years only to record and wreak havoc and then they disappear again just as quickly as they came. The beast has a name and it is Sasquatch. Formed in Los Angles back in the year 2001 by Philadelphia transplant Keith Gibbs and Detroit native's Rick Ferrante & Clayton Charles, Sasquatch has had the pleasure of refining their own brand of super heavy bone crunching rock and roll on the same stageswith some of LA's finest including: Fireball Ministry, Nebula, and Unida which in turn, has quickly helped the band become a local favorite and has helped to develop a name that is synonymous with quality kick ass rock. In 2006, the need for new low end man came up, and Jason Casanova of Tummler jumped in and delivered the goods. Drawing on influences from 70' metal, rock and psychedelia their songwriting approach is simple and mainly relies on the theories of feel and technique, a sorely missed aspect of most modern day rock amalgamations. But don't let their technique fool you, tight as they may be, when they come to play the kid gloves are off.
Just askany of the lucky folks who are already privileged enough to have seen them live, you will fully comprehend what we are talking about... If any band in this century is fit to follow in the mighty Zeppelin's footsteps by naming each successive album with it's corresponding Roman numeral, it has got to be Sasquatch. "III" picks up right where "I" and "II" left off. The men of Sasquatch turn the blues upside down, pass it under a stream of vintage psychedelica, puree it in and blender and then run it through Mojave Amplification. "III" is the sound of a band coming into its own, finding its footing and standing tall. The songs are thick...
