»Southern Stars« ist das vierte Studioalbum der australischen Hardrockband Rose Tattoo. Das Album wurde mit Angry Anderson am Gesang, Geordie Leach am Bass und den neuen Mitgliedern Greg Jordan an der Slide- und Leadgitarre, John Meyer an der Gitarre und Scott Johnston am Schlagzeug aufgenommen. Es erreichte Platz 30 der Kent Music Report Albumcharts.

»Southern Stars«, produziert von Vanda Young (bekannt durch ihre Arbeit mit den australischen Kollegen von AC/DC), bewegte sich die Band mehr in Richtung AOR, behielt aber ihren Hardrock- und Boogie-Blues-Stil bei. Die Leadsingle »I Wish« erreichte Platz 32 der Kent Music Report Single-Charts. Es folgten die Singles »Freedom's Flame« und »No Secrets«. Rose Tattoo tourten zur Unterstützung des Albums durch Australien und es wurde gut aufgenommen, aber Ende 1985 legte Anderson die Band aufgrund seiner schauspielerischen Verpflichtungen eine einjährige Pause ein. Es war das letzte Rose-Tattoo-Album, das von Harry Vanda und George Young produziert wurde.
