Soviet Kitsch ist Regina Spektors drittes Studioalbum und ihr erstes für ein Major-Label. Obwohl es Mitte 2003 unabhängig veröffentlicht wurde, brachte Sire Records das Album 2004 erneut heraus, nachdem Regina bei dem Label unterschrieben hatte.

Das von ihren Fans geliebte und von der Kritik hochgelobte Album Soviet Kitsch wurde Reginas Durchbruch und enthält die Titel »Us«, »Carbon Monoxide«, »The Flowers« und »Poor Little Rich Boy«. Im Jahr 2009 nahm die angesehene britische Musikzeitschrift NME dieses Album in ihre Liste der besten Alben des Jahrzehnts auf.
