THE OCEAN are an exceptional band, and not just since yesterday. For years the Berlin collective has stood out because of its musical depth, seriousness and high artistic standards. THE OCEAN never ceased to amaze, with their instrumental debut EP "Fogdiver" (2003), followed by "Fluxion" (2004) and "Aeolian" (2005). Since their monumental double-album "Precambrian", which was released in late 2007 via Metal Blade Records, THE OCEAN are a big name in the international post-hardcore / metal / ambient music scene. The stunning artwork by award-winning artist Martin Kvamme was recently crowned with the Norwegian designer's Grammy."Fluxion" was originally released in 2004 and has been out of print for more than 3 years. The re-release on THE OCEAN mastermind Robin Staps' newly founded label PELAGIC RECORDS comes with newly recorded vocals, remixed, remastered and with completely new artwork by Martin Kvamme. THE OCEAN recently finished a successful European headlining tour with support by BURST (Relapse Records) and BISON (Metal Blade), after supporting OPETH on their European tour in December 2008. There's no doubt about it - no one calling themselves a fan of highly demanding, alternative,...
