Auf »Beyond The Blue Horizon« liefert Benson vermutlich die faszinierndste Gitarrenarbeit seiner ganzen Karriere. Das Treiben beginnt mit Miles Davis’ »So What« und wird bis zum Schluss konsequent so jazzy und soulful wie immer fortgesetzt.
