Canned Heat's leader Fito De La Parra personally hand-picked, annotated, and of course drummed on all of the tracks on this fantastic collection. Not only do you get a nice handful of tracks from the core band of Bob Hite, Alan Wilson, Larry Taylor, Adolfo De La Parra and Henry Vestine, but as Fito puts it "it also gives recognition to all the post-Wilson / Hite line-ups that I have had the pleasure to lead."

There are rare, import-only, and unreleased versions of tunes like Cherokee Dance, I Love My Baby plus important live archival material like Shake 'N Boogie from the 10th Woodstock Festival Anniversary Show (the only show taped with Hollywood Fats), and of course hits like Let's Work Together from the rare Turku Festival show in 1971. Bob Hite truly gives his best on these and his other contributions on this collection.

Later tracks like The Hucklebuck and Wait And See get equal star treatment from later versions of the Heat. Rare glimpses into their 40 year history are all here for the avid fan and new converts alike.

Completely re-stored remastering, as only Friday Music would have it, and wonderful photos never seen from the Canned Heat archives, this authorized collection is one of a kind and should be under the stocking this holiday for your favorite blues collector. As Bob Hite used to say "Don't Forget To Boogie".
