ALFA 9 formed several years ago in Newcastle-under-Lyme (nr. Stoke) and since then their relentless gigging and dedication has paid off, wowing the local scene with their psychedelic live shows and playing to sell-out audiences. Now just signed to Blow Up, the release of their forthcoming debut long-player 'When We Begin' (early 2006) is sure to bring their epic psychedelia to a nation-wide audience. Imagine spaced out harmonies graced with beautiful lyrics and some stunning guitar work and you're about half way to getting what the band sound like. Like the album the single was recorded at The Charlatans' Big Mushroom Studio in Cheshire with Liverpool based producer Mike Cave (The Coral, The Charlatans, Ian McNabb).
