About the film

Der sterbenskranke Lord Byron sieht sich im Alter von 37 Jahren dem Tode nah. In Griechenland, fernab von seiner Heimat, lässt der englische Poet, Soldat und Frauenheld im Fieberwahn sein Leben noch einmal Revue passieren. Dabei soll ein himmlisches Gericht darüber entscheiden, ob er nach dem Ableben den Himmel oder die Hölle betritt. Als Zeugen werden seine zahlreichen amourösen Abenteuer, Arabella Milbank, Augusta Leigh, Lady Caroline Lamb und die Italienerin Teresa Guiccioli vorgeladen.
