About the film

Daniel Libeskind gehört zu den wichtigsten und zugleich umstrittensten Architekten des 21. Jahrhunderts. Seine Architektur spielt mit der Geometrie der Wahrnehmung, sie ist sinnlich und intellektuell zugleich. Zur Einheit von Form und Funktion tritt das philosophische Gespräch mit der Kultur der Bauten und ihrer Geschichte. Der Film beleuchtet Libeskinds Arbeit und folgt dem Entstehungsprozess seiner Bauten. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt hierbei auf der Entstehung des Jüdischen Museums in Berlin und der Debatte um „The Spiral“, dem einst geplanten Anbau für das Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
