Black Market (SACD)
The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Trotz vieler Personalwechsel in ihrer 16-jährigen Existenz gelang es ihnen unter der Leitung von Joe Zawinul, bahnbrechende Musik zu schaffen. Die Bandmitglieder Zawinul, Shorter und Moreira spielten alle in den Bands von Miles Davis, und anfangs war Weather Report eine direkte Fortsetzung von Miles' »In A Silent Way« und »Bitches Brew«-Ära. Als Bassist Jaco Pastorius 1976 Mitglied der Band wurde, trat Weather Report in ihre beliebteste Phase ein, einschließlich der Veröffentlichung von »Black Market«. Dieses sechste Album ist stark von afrikanischer Musik beeinflusst. In Kombination mit Jazz wurde dieses Genre als »Weltfusion« beschrieben.
