Der Brite Nigel Kennedy hat sich als Grenzgänger zwischen Klassik, Jazz und Folk einen Namen gemacht. Ein ganz besonderes Projekt entstand im Heimatland von Kennedys polnischer Ehefrau. Hier traf er das Trio KROKE und dessen ganz eigenes Gemisch aus Klezmer, Jazz und Folk, das ihn 2003 zum Album East Meets East inspirierte.
