Im Juni 2017 kamen der Dresdner Kammerchor und das Gewandhausorchester Leipzig unter der musikalischen Leitung von Herbert Blomstedt kongenial zusammen, um das Leipziger Bachfest mit diesem einzigartigen Werk zu beschließen – einem Werk zu welchem Chor und Orchester sowie Herbert Blomstedt selbst eine sehr große Nähe verspüren.
