Anton Rubinstein was a distinguished Russian composer, pianist, conductor, pedagogue, prominent public figure. His heritage covers practically all genres of music: operas and oratorios, choruses and romances, symphonies and concerts, ensemble and piano compositions. The acquaintance with some of his forgotten works can widen the listeners' idea of the eminent musicians creative life.
At the beginning of May 1854, Rubinstein moved from St. Petersburg to Weimar, where at that time lived Ferenc Liszt, who had a great influence on the Russian composer. During the time he spent abroad (1854-1858) Rubinstein appeared with concerts in different European cities, besides, the composer created a number of works of different genres.
Three Pieces for Piano, Op. 11 No. 2 were written for and dedicated to Karl Schubert, an outstanding Russian cellist and conductor, a friend of Rubinstein.
In May - June 1857 A. Rubinstein wrote Trio No. 3 for Piano, Violin and Cello in В flat major, Op. 52. It was a great success after the first performance at the London Chamber Music Society under the author's buton and was published at the end of the same year. Lately the Trio was performed many times by the author himself and by other prominent musicians, Hans von Bulow, who dedicated the enthusiastic article to the Trio was among them.

Piano trio «Classics» was orga¬nized in 1988. It consists of pianist Eleonora Teplukhina, violinist Marat Bisengaliev and cellist Yuri Semenov. Eleonora Teplukhina was born in Kovrov town of Vladimir region in 1956. She began her musical education at music school of Nalchik city, and in 1973 she entered Musical College at the Moscow Conservatoire. After finishing it she was a soloist at the Kabardino-Balkaria Philharmonic Society. In 1984 E. Teplukhina graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire, where she studied under Professor Ya. Milstein and Assistent-Professor S. Alumyan. Later she worked as accompanist at the USSR State TV and Radio Chorus, soloist of the Tula Philharmonic Society. She was the first who appeared with a number of Soviet composers' works, touring a lot this country. Marat Bisengaliev was born in 1962, in 1980 after finishing music school, entered the Alma-Ata Conservatoire, and four years later moved to Moscow to continue his studies at the Moscow Conservatoire with Professors B. Belenky and V. Klimov. In 1988 he won the 5th prize at the J. S. Bach Competition in Leipzig. M. Bisengaliev appears as a soloist and ensemblist, tours the cities of this country, in Czechoslovakia and Great Britain.
Yuri Semenov, was born in Leningrad in 1947, in 1966 finished special music school attached to the Leningrad Conservatoire (class of Assistent Professor E. Fishman), in 1973 he graduated from the Leningrad Conservatoire (class of Assistent-Professor Yu. Falik), and in 1975 he studied at post graduate courses under Professor A. Nikitin. In 1969 Yu. Semenov began to work at the Kirov Opera and Ballet Theatre Orchestra, in 1972 he became a laureate of the All-Russian Competition of Performing Musicians in Moscow, in 1977 - 1988 Yuri was a soloist of the USSR TV and Radio Large Symphony Orchestra. At present the cellist appears with solo and ensemble concerts.
