Klappentext
In a rush to see her daughters married, Mrs. Bennet hopes the girls don't dally too long in finding suitable gentlemen for themselves. Centering on the romantic exploits of the Bennet daughters, Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine and Lydia, the interactions of men and women are whimsically displayed with passion and wit from esteemed regency-era romance author, Jane Austen.Mr. Bingley is drawn to Jane and things seem to be going well. Meanwhile, Mr. Darcy upsets Elizabeth so she takes it upon herself to ward off the dashing gentleman and bring him down. However, Mr. Darcy is drawn to Elizabeth's liveliness and begins to pay more attention to her, and without her knowledge he is growing fond of her.
Oddly, as time progresses, Elizabeth finds herself drawn to Darcy, too. Soon, he proposes to her but when details regarding his involvement with Mr. Wickham surface, she says no. Will their relationship recover? And what of the other Bennet girls? Will they find happiness in love, as well?
Jane Austen demonstrates her incredible ability to blend society, wit, passion, and the humanity that makes relationships interesting places for us all in her beloved novel, Pride and Prejudice.
