Als Pub- bzw. Punkrocker passte Eric Gouldon Ende der 70er perfekt in die enge Stiff Records-’Familie’, die seinerzeit vornehmlich aus Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello und Ian Dury bestand. Mit Nick Lowe und Ian Dury als Produzenten, nahm Eric die Songs ’Whole Wide World’ und ’Semaphore Signals’ auf, die sich auch gleich als seine erfolgreichsten Aufnahmen überhaupt erwiesen.

Dieses aufwendige 2 CD Set enthält alle 40 Aufnahmen, die Eric für Stiff Records eingespielt hat: Seine 3 Alben ’Wreckless Eric’ (1978), ’The Wonderful World Of Wreckless Eric’ (1978) und ’Big Smash’ (1980), sowie zwei B-Seiten, seine zwei Songs auf der 1978er ’Live Stiffs’ Compilation und sein Track auf der ’Be Stiff’ 12“ Promo EP (1979).

Das Package wird mit einem sehr schönen, 6-seitigen Doppel-Digipak und einem 20-seitigen, detaillierten Farbbooklet abgerundet.
