Product Information

Nach der Trennung von Pink Floyd im Jahr 1983 brachte Roger Waters drei Soloalben heraus, "The Pros And Cons of Hitch-Hiking" 1984, "Radio KAOS" 1987 und "Amused To Death" 1992.

Wegen des spürbar großen Interesses an seiner Arbeit als Solokünstler veröffentlichte er 2000 die Live Doppel-CD "In The Flesh - Live", mit 24 Highlights aus dem Musikschaffen des Briten, mit seinen besten Songs und auch vielen Piink Floyd-Klassikern wie "Another Brick In The Wall", "Money" oder "Wish You Were Here".

Die DVD dazu wurde am 27. Juni 2000 in der Rose Garden Arena in Portland / Oregon aufgenommen. 2003 schließlich erschien mit "Ca Ira" sein erstes großes klassisches Werk: eine Oper in drei Akten über die französische Revolution, eingespielt mit hervorragenden Solisten wie dem walisischen Bassbariton Bryn Terfel, der chinesischen Sopranistin Ying Huang und dem amerikanischen Tenor Paul Groves.

Zur großen Deutschland-Tour im Juni 2011 gibt es zum allerersten Mal alle Solo Werke in der wertigen 7CD/1DVD Box "ROGER WATERS - THE ALBUM COLLECTION".
