Nachdem fünf Highschool-Freunde im Jahr 1958 einen Auftritt von Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers sahen, beschlossen sie eine eigene Gesangsgruppe zu gründen. Das war der Startschuss für die legendären The O'Jays - eine der berühmtesten und einflussreichsten Soul-Bands der 60er und 70er Jahre.

Die Compilation "We'll Never Forget You" vereint sämtliche Veröffentlichungen der Gruppe für das berühmte Imperial Label. Viele der Stücke sind nun erstmalig auf CD erhältlich. - The O’Jays need no introduction to soul fans: the legendary Ohio act are famous for a raft of Sixties and Seventies soul classics.

- We’ll Never Forget You compiles, for the first time ever, the group’s entire output for the mighty Imperial label across the mid-1960s. Many tracks have never before been on CD.

- Re-mastered from the original tapes, the CD includes the in-demand Northern Soul floorfiller ‘I’ll Never Forget You’, the Mod classic, ‘Lipstick Traces’ and their very first R&B hits such as ‘Lonely Drifter’.

- The 28 tracks are drawn from their many 45s for the label, alongside two exclusive cuts from their elusive debut album Comin’ Through.

- The package is designed by noted Northern Soul reissue expert Glenn Gunton (Joe Boy, Outta Sight, etc.).
