Guest artists include Stephen Stills, Dr. John, Garth Hudson, Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter, Paul Butterfield, James Burton, Glenn D. Hardin and Emory Gordy and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's John McEuen.

Opening with 'Della and the Dealer' it includes Hoyt's country hits 'A Rusty Old Halo', 'Evangelina', 'Wild Bull Rider', 'When the Mornin' Comes', 'In a Young Girl's Mind', 'Where did the Money Go?', 'Boney Fingers', 'Midnight in Memphis' and 'The Devil', as well as his own, inimitable versions of 'Joy to the World', 'Never Been to Spain', 'No No Song' and his mother's 'Heartbreak Hotel', plus sprightly covers of 'The Battle of New Orleans' and Gene Vincent's 'Pistol Packin' Mama'.
