Die Serie um fünf Assistenzärzte am Seattle Grace Hospital war der erfolgreichste Serienstart in der US-Season 2004/ 2005. 2006 katapultierte sich die Serie noch vor "Desperate Housewives" und war somit die erfolgreichste Serie im US-Fernsehen. Auch ein Sendeplatzwechsel gegen CSI konnte der ausgezeichneten Serie nichts antun. "Grey’s Anatomy" wurde bereits mehrfach für den Emmy nominiert und hat einen gewonnen. Außerdem wurde die Serie mit zwei Golden Globes ausgezeichnet und vier Mal dafür nominiert.

Bei uns hat sie sich mittlerweile auch zum veritablen Quoten-Hit gemausert, der durchschnittlich 1, 8 Mio Zuschauer erreicht. Nicht zuletzt deshalb startet der 2.Teil der 3.Staffel jetzt auf einem noch attraktiveren Senderplatz. Endlich ein Wiedersehen mit Meredith, "McDreamy", "McSexy" & Co.

Der neue Soundtrack fährt entsprechend wieder mit Gitarren- und Singer / Songwriter-Rock vom Feinsten auf wie z. B. Kanada’s Indierock-Ikone (Leslie) FEIST oder UK’s Alternativ-Hoffnung GOMEZ.
