Hier geht es um den "Greatest Living Country Singer" der 50er Jahre, den spirituellen Erben von Hank Williams, den Ehemann von Tammy Wynette, der durch seinen Lebenswandel den Spitznahmen "No Show Jones" trug, bevor er seinen Rock'n'Roll Lifestyle ad acta legte. Diese 3CD beinhaltet alle A- und B-Seiten die Jones für das in Texas ansässige Label Starday aufgenommen hat, sowie seine ersten Aufnahmen für Mercury aus den Jahren 1957-59. Unter den 86 Songs sind 18 Country & Pop Hit Singles. Stilistisch reicht das Repertoire von Honky-Tonk zu Country Gospel, Pop und wilden Rockabilly-Songs, die er zum Teil unter Pseudonymen für verschiedene Mailorderfirmen aufnahm. Die Compilation wurde von der 50er Jahre Musik Autorität Dave Penny zusammengestellt und mit Linernotes versehen.
