Eric Burdon is one of rock’s finest vocalists, blessed with a powerful voice drenched in the blues. He came to fame with the original Animals in the early Sixties and is featured here with a latter version of the band with Vic Briggs (guitar) on a 1968 album produced by Tom Wilson. Heavily influenced by the California hippie movement, the new Animals perform such evocative hit numbers as ‘Monterey’ and ‘Sky Pilot’. Both these tracks also appear in their single versions among five bonus tracks on a powerful and historically important CD.
