Andersen established his career in the 1960s with a romantic folk-based sound. By the 1970s he had developed a unique mix of folk, country and rock elements culminating in his 1972 classic LP Blue River. Highlighted by a rich tenor voice and intricate finger-picked guitar, between 1969 and 1980 he recorded eight albums of poetic, deeply personal music with songs often breathtaking in their sheer beauty.

So Much On My Mind compiles the best of Eric’s recordings for Warner Bros, Columbia and Arista on one stunning volume – 'Is It Really Love At All', 'Blue River', 'Be True To You', 'Violets of Dawn', 'Thirsty Boots' etc. Also included are four key tracks from his ‘missing’ album Stages: The Lost Album including the original versions of the haunting 'Moonchild River Song' and the epic 'Time Run Like A Freight Train'.
