Aufgezeichnet wurde das Konzert an historischer Stätte - der ´Hollywood Bowl´ in Los Angeles, einem altehrwürdigen Amphitheater (im Jahre 1922 zum ersten Mal als Konzerthalle für klassische Konzerte in Betrieb genommen und seither Sitz des Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra). Eine Bühne, die in ihrer langen Historie schon zum Ort legendärer Auftritte so namhafter Künstler wie den Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, Fred Astaire, Garth Brooks, Nat ´King´ Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday oder Elton John wurde.
Doch BEN HARPER ist durch sehr persönliche Erinnerungen mit der Hollywood Bowl verbunden: So saß er schon als kleiner Junge am Bühnenrand und bewunderte von dort seine Mutter Ellen, die als Sängerin und Gitarristin auftrat.
