On Sunday evening, July 7, 1957, the great pianist Oscar Peterson played the Newport stage with Herb Ellis and Ray Brown. They delivered a breathtaking set, only to turn up the heat when they were joined by Roy “Little Jazz” Eldridge, Sonny Stitt and Jo Jones. (Jones had been playing that weekend with several different artists.)

Amazingly, this set is now on CD for the first time. The original LP sleeve and liner notes are re-created in a beautiful gatefold package.
