What made this Moscow night unique? Perhaps it was the realization that the band was, after thirty years of negotiations, cancellations and frustrations, actually on tour in the Soviet Union. This concert was the last of five in Moscow, each one performed to a packed house of enthusiastic and knowledgeable fans.
Whatever the reason, the fact is that this recording is documentation of one of the most remarkable nights in the history of the Dave Brubeck Quartet.
