Ben van Oostens Wallfahrt zu den internationalen Wirkungsstätten von Marcel Dupré endet dort, wo der weitgereiste und verehrte Virtuose wenige Stunden vor seinem Tod am 30. Mai 1971 die letzte Messe spielte: in der Pariser Kathedrale Saint Sulpice, deren Cavaillé-Coll-Orgel Marcel Dupré fast 40 Jahre lang als Titular-Organist betreute.
