Allenfalls dem Vivaldi-Forscher dürfte der Name Ignatzio Sieber (ca1680- ca. 1757) heute noch etwas sagen, wenn der Komponist dieser sechs Sonaten überhaupt mit dem Oboen- und Flötenlehrer am Ospedale della Pietá in Venedig identisch ist. Parallelen zu einigen Werken seines dortigen Kollegen Vivaldi machen dies allerdings wahrscheinlich.
