Telemanns Scherzi melodichi von 1734 umfassen sieben nach den Wochentagen benannte Suiten. Programmatische Idee ist dabei, die am Titelblatt und im Vorwort evozierte Vorstellung, dass es sich um Musik zur alltäglichen Unterhaltung der Besucher von Bad Pyrmont (im heuti-gen Niedersachsen) handelt, einem der damals beliebtesten Kurorte Europas. Auch die Fortsetzung des Harmonischen Gottesdienstes von 1731 / 32 folgt in ihrem Aufbau gleichsam einem kalendarischen Prinzip. Das junge Ensemble DELIRIO hat ein Programm erstellt, in dem jedem Wochentag mindestens ein Musikstück gewidmet ist. Die Auswahl der Stücke beruht auf beiden Zyklen Georg Philipp Telemanns.
